The Stalemate Continues in Georgia

In another win for former President Trump, the Georgia Court of Appeals has agreed to take up the case of whether Fanni Willis is compromised and should not be bringing the election interference case in Georgia. The hearing has been scheduled for October, meaning there’s no way this case will get tried before the election:

On Wednesday, the Georgia Court of Appeals issued an order staying any further proceedings in the matter, pending the outcome of the appeal. The order applies to the case against Trump as well as to his co-defendants: Michael Roman, David Shafer, Robert Cheeley, Mark Meadows, Cathleen Latham, Rudy Giuliani, Jeffrey Clark, and Harrison Floyd. Ultimately, that means the Georgia case will not be proceeding ahead of the November election.
