by I guess I’m unclear why we ever thought it was right to let people of certain skin colors get preferential treatment that would allow them to do things and not get punished, and then act surprised when violence and bad behavior rise:
In an executive action aimed at K-12 schools, Trump requested new federal guidance on school discipline. The measure calls for revoking previous policies by Presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama aimed at reducing racial disparities in, for example, suspensions and expulsions.

Seems to me that you get the behavior you encourage, and when you encourage bad behavior by some without discipline, you just get more of it.
