Impressive

FE_DA_080829_palin_4People Magazine had another interview with Gov. Sarah Palin and her husband Todd—and it was very friendly—but I really liked the answer to the last question:

People: Can you go home again and just be an Alaskan?

Sarah: I can always go home again and just be Mom and be perfectly happy and fulfilled with the blessings that God has given us.

Expect to see more of these types of questions asked to both Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin as election day draws closer since the media template is that Sen. Obama has already one.

Regardless, this to me says more about the person than a lot that I have read.  This is a job to her, nothing more.  It won’t be the end of the world or the end of Sarah Palin if she does not get the Vice Presidency.  She doesn’t have to even run for President.

To me, that’s one of the things I want in any politician.  I don’t want them to always want to be there, and I want them to be comfortable in being who they are post-presidency or post government.

  1. Golly. She talks as if she were just a real person.

(I think…that if McCain/Palin does not win…that four more years will only make Sarah more honed and experienced. She COULD emerge as the presidential candidate in 2012 and the lack of experience would no longer be an issue. She would have had been able to devote more time to her baby, and to mother her other children. The media would not like any of that….)

But I love her answer. She speaks as a woman who is confident of who she is in Christ. She speaks as someone who is content, and loved, and fulfilled wherever God has placed her.

    Hollys last blog post..Still friends.
