President Trump Finally Declassifies Documents on Russian Collusion

For at least the last two years there has been a list of documents that those that are Trump Supporters have wanted to be declassified because they would show the scale of the coup perpetrated against Pres. Trump since before he took office.

At multiple times in his Presidency, people have suspected that there would be this document dump that would prove his followers right. These would be thinks like the first 302 that was filled out on General Flynn, documentation that tells how the Steele dossier was used to come up with the FISA spying on Trump and the Special Counsel.

President Trump gave AG Bill Barr the authority to declassify anything that was necessary, and other than the information that came out in relation to General Flynn’s court case, many pieces of information were still not declassified.

Now, as part of the last 5 days of his Presidency, Trump has been said to have scheduled the release of the documents:

Delivering in his final days on one of his last unfulfilled promises, President Trump is declassifying a massive trove of FBI documents showing the Russia collusion story was leaked in the final weeks of the 2016 election in an effort to counteract Hillary Clinton’s email scandal.

The memos to be released as early as Friday include FBI interviews and human source evaluation reports for two of the main informants in the Russia case, former MI6 agent Christopher Steele and academic Stefan Halper.

The president authorized the release of a foot-high stack of internal FBI and DOJ documents that detail significant flaws in the investigation and provide a detailed timeline of when the FBI first realized the Steele dossier was problematic, multiple government officials told Just the News.

Among the bombshell revelations is an admission by Steele that he violated his confidential human source agreement with the FBI and leaked information from his dossier to the news media in the final weeks of the election because he wanted to counteract new revelations in the Hillary Clinton email scandal that were hurting her election efforts. The former foreign intelligence officer made the confession in a fall 2017 interview with agents.

You can find a breakdown of the above article at the Conservative Treehouse’s article REPORT: President Trump Schedules Extensive Declassification Prior To Departure – Chris Steele Interview Likely Included, but all this seems too little, too late unless one of the following are true:

  1. Trump was holding onto this stuff because he expected to win and what he will reveal was needed for criminal cases.
  2. Trump was holding onto this stuff for leverage, either for when he left office or against people in government to get his agenda done (in which case, how much worse could it have been!?).
  3. Trump didn’t know how to declassify it, or was getting stonewalled, but now, with everyone leaving, he can finally do it.

In any case, releasing this late feels like a big let down, as everyone thought that the documents would be the proof needed to convince the country of what Trump followers already knew about what happened. Whether it was everything that Q said or whether it was just a few people, Trump people wanted to know. So now, I guess at least in part, they will.

And my hunch is that it will justify not much happening to people rather than the whole “everyone round up headed to GITMO” that everyone has expected.

But I could be wrong?
