The Democrats have a dilemma. If they move too fast towards impeachment– which many of their party ran on in 2018– then they look really bad to the Independents, whom everyone thinks you need to win. They look like they are rushing to judgement, with only a little over a year to go before Pres. Trump would face the electorate.
They know that the Republicans looked really bad for going after Pres. Bill Clinton when the majority of the populace really didn’t think his crimes were a big deal. So like those Republicans, whose base wanted Clinton removed, and the electorate disagreeing as to whether he should be, the Democrats are saying that they are “holding Trump accountable” and “following the evidence” whereas everyone knows they are building the case for impeachment.
NBC News reports:
Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, demanded a ream of documents from Trumpworld; Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, beefed up his staff; and Rep. Bill Pascrell, D-N.J., a member of the Ways and Means Committee, told NBC his panel would likely ask for Trump’s tax records in the next “two, three weeks.”
House Democrats poised to take the baton from Mueller, move toward impeachment
The Mueller report won’t be the beginning of the end of the investigation into Trump. Instead, it will be the end of the beginning of a political and legal nightmare that promises to subsume an ever greater portion of his presidency and could, conceivably, lead to his impeachment.
And this isn’t the only the only one who know’s what’s up. Conservative Treehouse has been saying that Pelosi even placed the concept in the House rules:
All of this is carefully designed. None of this is organic. All of the participants have networked contacts acting as intermediaries (like Lawfare) to provide arms-length plausible deniability to the larger political scheme.
These plans and schemes are all professional Democrats spend time thinking and talking about. This is what they do. This is all they do. This is their purpose in life; nothing else matters.
The structural impeachment schedule will ultimately lead to House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler. Professional political Democrats would not be using “impeachment” in the constitutional sense of the process (high crimes and misdemeanors); but rather weaponizing the process –as a tool itself– to: •target the executive office; •diminish the presidency (“isolate”/”marginalize”, Alinsky rules); •and position themselves for 2020.
Chairman Nadler will begin specifically focused hearings sometime in late April or May 2019. If they stay committed to the timeline, and so far they are right on cue, the House impeachment vote will be scheduled for sometime in the early/mid fall of this year.
Judiciary Chairman Nadler Delivers Impeachment Groundwork Witness List – President Trump Knows The Plan…
The question is, since they’re telegraphing their moves, does Pres. Trump have a plan to counteract it?
