Are you a planner? By that I mean, do you spend lots of time planning out how everything will go for your life or do you play it more as it comes?
I tend to be a bit of both. I guess I’ve seen way too many plans fail to come to pass that every time I sit down to make a plan I figure it’s probably not going to happen the way that I think.
Don’t get me wrong. In college I figured out a plan to become the fastest cafeteria setup crew there was. I also can help during a project to figure out how to get from where I am to where I want to be.
I think that my basic flaw that I have is taking charge. I mean, I took all the leadership classes and can tell you when the leader ahead of me isn’t “doing things right”, and I guess a good leader would not only stand out in front and make the plan, but make sure that it comes off.
I think that my main problem here is probably laziness or failure to stay focused on a task. It’s something that I really need to work on.
How about you? How are you with planning and seeing things come to pass? Any advice?
