Blanco bans abortions

Gov. Kathleen BlancoYou have to hand it to the South and MidWest. On the Pro-Life front they are making great headway. South Dakota was the most recent, but Louisiana was featured in articles talking about how Abortion was getting regulated out of the state.

Governor Blanco signed into law a bill that would go into effect if the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision was overturned. I think both this and the regulation route is a great tactic in the war for baby’s lives. Why? Because by continually pointing out the gross procedures that have to be overcome, people will be appauled and move to ban more abortions.

The other half has to be done, though– we need to reach out and provide support for the women that have found them in this position and aid others in not getting in this position. It needs a multi-faceted approach.

Certainly, the regulation will stop the abortion clinic in the state until one gets the funding and the lawyers to meet it to a T. Surely these laws will take effect if they can get the Supreme Court to over turn Roe v. Wade. But each of us are capable of making a difference in people’s lives and caring for those with a need and a heart change is the only true path to save lives.
