The tactics around protesting have ramped up, with people using their bodies to prevent traffic from going through bridges and roads, gluing their bodies to things, and throwing paint and other items at artwork. While the response has been slow from the government, Florida is leading the way in dealing with sit-in protestors, by removing them right away and getting things back flowing.
The more people try to protest by getting in people’s way, the more that the government is going to feel justified in physically moving them. It’s easy to understand that protestors feel that they are not heard, but this is the way it’s been since the founding. You need to persuade your countrymen to the rightness of your cause– and blocking them from getting to work is not going to win a lot of hearts and minds.
