It used to be that America could win any war because we had air superiority. Meaning that we could fly without risk to our pilots, shoot precision missiles, and guide our troops. If reports are correct that Russia now has air superiority in Ukraine, then it’s only a matter of time before they are put into the situation of deciding how much to give up to the invader.
This was always going to happen here because the USA is no longer the empire it was, nor does it attempt to be. Our military, whose chief aim is to kill people and break things, is more woke than ever before, and not seeing the recruiting it once did. Let alone the fact that we no longer think of ourselves as part of a European coalition that fought and won World War II. Today’s Americans would rather stick to our homeland, and stop the invasion from our southern border.
Which is right and good.
