This video has a lot to consider, and it isn’t just one answer. That being said, I think that we also have the issue of employers not adjusting their salaries and benefits to match the new circumstances. Having been close to full employment before, the employer was in the driver’s seat, requiring higher skills to get a job. Now companies are keeping those same qualifications, but people aren’t going to sign up for it and find it ridiculous.
Like he says, “When you are in demand, you call the shots.”
