Seems like we’re seeing a steady drip of information coming out now, and the more it comes out the more interesting it seems to get. Last week we got more information coming out in relation to the Flynn saga, and even though it appears that Flynn will not get his case dismissed and the DOJ will have to get a mandamus to get the charges dropped, the documentation dump continues.
DNI Ratcliffe Contacts Congress
Middle of this week, DIA John Ratcliffe released a letter summarizing some documents that Sen. Chuck Grassley had requested released. There were three bits of information in this letter that were pertinent:
- In 2016, Russia believed that Hillary Clinton had approved the creation of a scandal to be centered around Trump and Russia around the hacking of the DNC– the Intelligence Community could not verify this claim.
- Then CIA Director Brennan left a handwritten notes saying that he had briefed then Pres. Obama on this intelligence.
- This intelligence was referred to then Director James Comey and head investigator Peter Strzok saying that this was to also cover the email on the private server.
This information seems to point that the Hillary campaign, in concert with the Obama Administration, created or allowed this scandal to be created and propagated through the election, and, as we know, to continue into President Trump’s presidency culminating in his impeachment.
Chad Pergram has the relevant thread:
Andy McCarthy sets the stage and the whole context of this allegation at the National Review:
Hillary Clinton personally signed off on the Russiagate farce to distract attention from her email scandal, according to a Russian intelligence analysis that was obtained by U.S. intelligence agencies in July 2016.

SwiftBoating
We also learn that there was conversation in the emails about attempting to “swift boat” Trump. I blurred the crude language meant to say that they could either plan this out, or just hope it works out.
The term swiftboating (also spelled swift-boating or swift boating) is an American neologism used pejoratively to describe an unfair or untrue political attack. The term is derived from the name of the organization “Swift Boat Veterans for Truth” (SBVT, later the Swift Vets and POWs for Truth) because of their widely publicized—and then discredited—campaign against 2004 U.S. Presidential candidate John Kerry.
Swiftboating from Infogalactic
The idea that the Hillary campaign of 2016 would want to Swift boat Trump is not surprising. Campaigns are always doing research on the opponent to find things to say about them and cast them into a negative light. Negative ads work. It must have been the perfect fit to see that Trump wasn’t as negative on Russia, and then his joke about having Russia release the emails if they had them would have really lent itself to this path… all they would need was some intel, no matter how dodgy. In steps the Steele Dossier.
CIA Director Haspel Blocking Further Declassification
Last night we learned that part of the reason that we aren’t seeing the documents that Ratcliffe wants to release is because the CIA director is blocking its declassification.
While new information about wrongdoing at the FBI has recently been declassified, including recent revelations about Hillary Clinton campaign’s collusion with Russia, Davis reported on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Wednesday that Haspel herself is standing in the way of the declassification of other relevant documents.
“I’m told that it is Gina Haspel personally who is blocking continued declassification of these documents that will show the American people the truth of what actually happened,” Davis said.
Davis: CIA Director Gina Haspel Is Blocking Declassification Of Remaining Russigate Documents
My understanding is that the process to get something declassified is that the DIA goes to each source of information and asks for issues declassifying the information. Looks like Haspel is personally blocking some information from getting out.
Agent Strzok was in London, the whole thing with Papadopolis and Page I believe was in London too. So it’s highly likely that a lot of the intel came from there, and it might look bad on her AND the CIA.
Comey Hearing
Not much happened at the Comey hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday. They did not pin him down and he claimed not to remember important points. This will be the last time one of the SpyGate people will be in front of the Congress/Senate before the election, and there was no news. President Trump tweeted during the hearing:
When he tweets this kind of stuff you think that something might actually be done, but instead what you get is the sense that he’s saying what we’re thinking (which he often does) and it’s disappointing. But maybe something is happening? At the debate on Tuesday night, Pres. Trump hinted that “we have it all [SpyGate plan] on tape” which isn’t the first time that Pres. Trump has said that this plot may have been recorded. Another notable time was when he hinted to Comey, back in 2017, that he might have tapes in the White House of Comey saying something that would hurt his case. Nothing came of that, to my knowledge.
Further, at a rally last night, Pres. Trump said this:
What else? It turns out that Comey’s daughter is the one that reviewed the Jeffery Epstein in jail tapes, and that her husband is taking over the case against Ghislaine Maxwell. That doesn’t seem strange at all, does it?
