So, I’m in the car, listening to the news at the top of the hour, and I hear that Consumer Confidence Index is at the lowest it’s been since they were keeping track. But it’s not really the financial markets or the mortgage crisis that is on anyone’s mind. It’s three things, says the speaker:
- Jobs
- Jobs
- Jobs
Specifically, “my job”—the one that each and every person is currently employed in. People are worried about losing their job.
So, is that why the polls are supporting for President a candidate who wants to raise taxes on those that give people jobs thinking that it will somehow make middle class jobs more secure?
Inspires you with confidence, eh?
