This is a disgraceful way to treat the head of a foreign country. The way that the shake hands with the Russian president behind him shows that they were doing this on purpose.
I don’t know that I’ve read a reason why, but this should have been something that was in our newscasts, because he’s represents us.
I agree with what Leticia said in comments below, it’s not a snub, it’s an introduction. It’s a good example of seeing what you want to see (and believing sources!) rather than being critical yourself.
